As much as I love spending all my money on fancy turmeric lattes at health cafes, I've been enjoying recreating all the amazing recipes at home. There's just something about making yourself a warm cuppa and enjoying it in your pajamas. :)
Oatmilk Matcha Latte
1 tsp matcha powder (I used Encha Matcha), 1 cup of oat milk, 1 teaspoon of maple syrup.
My favorite non-dairy milk is oat milk to make matcha latte. It's so smooth and tastes amazing. Gently warm the milk in a small saucepan and add your matcha powder. Stir the mixture and gently heat together. If you have a hand frother, use it to create a yummy foam for your latte. Lastly, add your honey or your favorite natural sweetener. Sip on this any time of the day to have a boost of clean energy, mental clarity and sense of calmness.
Coconut Turmeric Tonic
This is a really yummy & nourishing drink, plus it's a perfect immune and beauty booster.✨
Turmeric (I used Golde Turmeric Wellness blend) + 1 teaspoon of raw honey + 1 cup of coconut milk. You can use any type of milk you have.
Gently warm the milk in a small saucepan – do not boil. Add your 2 teaspoons of the turmeric blend. Stir the mixture and gently heat together. Lastly, add your honey or any type of natural sweetener of your choice. Enjoy this delicious healthful drink in your favorite mug.
Vegan Hot Chocolate
The ultimate "hygge" drink and my absolute favorite way to warm up during Christmas. (Psst read my first hygge post here.) I have to admit, I've been having way too many of these lately. This hot chocolate recipe features the amazing super-food cacao as its star ingredient. It's an amazing source of antioxidants and natural happiness booster.
1 cup of milk, 2 teaspoons of unsweetened cacao, 1 teaspoon of maple syrup. Optional: 1 teaspoon of nut butter
Simply mix all the ingredients in a saucepan and heat gently. Keep stirring to ensure all the ingredients mix together. Put on your favorite Christmas movie and sip on!
Hope you have the healthiest and happiest Holiday season!
With love + health,
